Undisker - Undisker is a disk image utility that can open, create, and extract ISO files. ISO files are images of CDROM disks, they are widely used for storing contents of entire CDs. Usually, you have to burn an ISO file on a CD to see or extract its contents, but now you can simply open it in Undisker. Undisker can work as an ISO extractor: you can open ISO files, browse them, and extract their contents to your hard disk without burning the ISO file on a CD. Undisker can extract ISO images created by all popular CD recording programs. You can also use Undisker for creating ISO images. Undisker can create ISO files by capturing your CDROM disks. You can use ISO files for creating backup copies of your CDs or for 'transferring' CDs through the Internet. Undisker interface is easy to use and familiar for anyone who has used WinZip or Windows Explorer. Drag-and-drop support allows you to handle disk image files just like ZIP archives - you can extract any file from the image by simply dragging it to the desktop or you can view files by double-clicking them just like in Windows Explorer. Undisker first time user comment
- It seems quiet slow, when extracting a 200 Mb file I almost killed the application because it seemed to be crashed.
- For an utility that has as main purpose to extract files to disk, I would like to see a second panel with a browser that shows the file system of my computer.
- The "extract to" folder dialog does not allow you to create a new folder where it should extract to.
- The utility does not check beforehand whether the disk has enough space for the extracted image file.
-the website does not inform about the type of license used, i.e. it uses a 30 day trial license.
-The utility did do its job, it extracted a msdn 2.5Gb ISO dvd image correctly in about 5 minutes from disk to disk.
Author's Response:
- Performance of extraction depends on many conditions, including performance of your PC, fragmentation of target hard disk, source disk image and source media. Could you please provide something link a benchmark for disk image extraction, and comparison with other disk image extractors?
- Undisker simulates GUI of standard Windows Explorer, which has only one panel. And exactly as WinExplorer, Undisker supports Drag'n'Drop, so there is no reason to make a FileManager from a simple extraction tool.
- This is not true. Target folder will be created automatically if it does not exist.
- Which version do you use? It was fixed back in version 1.2.2.0
- False again. It's written on download page: http://www.undisker.com/download.html "Undisker is shareware. You may evaluate it for a period of 30 days. After 30 days, you need to register it if you intend to continue using Undisker."

Great Program
Needed a quick, simple and low cost solution for unpacking ISO files and this baby worked like a charm. I had a cd iso image file and it extracted the files very quickly and efficiently and the program installed and ran perfectly. i'd reccomend this program to anyone, kudos to the developer for making such a simple and very efficient program.

Undisker didn`t Undisk
I was trying to retrieve a portion of files from a large DVD image written ISO. The system could not display the files or directories other than the root and a readme. I downloaded another competitor just to see if it was useless, and the files were readable etc. I am sorry but Undisker gets a bad grade.
